Andrew Tate's Training Camp for Misfits Boxing Bout: From Unbeaten UFC Star to Multi-Weight Boxing Champ
Andrew Tate has spared no expense in putting together a star-studded training camp for his Misfits Boxing debut next month. The controversial former kickboxing world champion has set up shop in Dubai, where he prepares to face Chase DeMoor for the promotion's heavyweight title. He appears to be working a pro wrestling-style storyline where he has 'taken over as CEO' from KSI to compete on Misfits.
In reality, this is a very serious undertaking. After years as a top kickboxer on the British scene, he knows how to prepare for a big fight. And he has a number of big names involved in preparing him for the DeMoor fight.
Weight Cut and Stipulation: Andrew Tate places a bizarre stipulation on Chase DeMoor for the Misfits Boxing heavyweight title fight.
Andrew Tate's Dubai training camp is being run by long-time coach Amir Subasic of the Storm Gym in Luton, while his brother and former European champion Tristan also oversees proceedings. Subasic taught the siblings how to fight years before they found social media fame, working with them for decades.
Close Friend and Former Fighter: Close friend Rory Synnott is a former fighter in his own right and a popular figure on the brothers' vlog series. He is preparing for his own ring return in early December and has joined up with the Tates to prepare for the fight.
Star Names Involved: A number of big names have been spotted around the gym spending time with Tate as he prepares for his fighting comeback. Lerone Murphy, the unbeaten UFC featherweight contender, is supposedly next in line for a shot at Alexander Volkanovski. He has been seen training with Tate, posting a number of photos and videos around the gym.
UFC Pedigree: He isn’t the only fighter with UFC pedigree involved in camp; The Ultimate Fighter alum and ex-middleweight contender Luke Barnatt is also on the scene. He and Tate actually fought as amateurs in an MMA bout, with 'Cobra' upsetting the odds and winning that bout.
Misfits Boxing World: From the Misfits Boxing world, Tate’s long-standing pal Warren Spencer was gifted a $100,000 watch by the former kickboxer when a sparring session went wrong and he left the gym with a severely injured eye. Spencer infamously fought Dillon Danis in his MMA return earlier this year, and while the result was a quick submission, he is expected to return to boxing in December, which is more his sport.
Irish Contender and WBC Cruiserweight Champion: Ben Williams, the Irish contender who has ties to Conor McGregor, could also be seen in the background of Tate’s IFL TV interview, and may be involved in camp. He is a renowned Irish amateur who moved into the Misfits Boxing scene and last year fought Jarvis for the Misfits middleweight belt. Also spotted with Tate at the gym was current WBC cruiserweight champion Badou Jack. The legendary Swede has also held world titles at light-heavyweight and super-middleweight and is on the radar as a potential Jake Paul opponent in 2026.
Sparring Partners: Andrew Tate claims his sparring partners are a much higher level than Chase DeMoor. While fans have claimed that Jack was 'sparring' with Tate, it seems that it was a more casual visit to the gym than anything. However, the kickboxer has expressed his certainty that his sparring partners are better than DeMoor, whose improvements have been marked in recent fights.
Speaking to IFL TV while sporting an impressive shiner of his own, Tate said of his team: 'We had some really high-level competition, we had some UFC veterans, a couple of them caught me with some shots but that’s what you need. You need to constantly push yourself, challenge yourself and I’m lucky to have sparring which I believe is harder than my opponent for this camp which is actually a very good place to be.'
